Medical Records Department: As discussed in the presentation, the AER (air exchange rate) for Medical Records Departments should be at least 10-15 per hour. This is not published as required, but recommended from a study on health effects of carbonless paper use. If employees are having symptom associated with these chemicals, you should have engineering staff increase the AER to the recommended 10-15. |
